I attended the Interior Design Institute in Newport Beach, California. My final design project was recognized and displayed for being the best in my class. I was hired while in school by one of my professors. She is a highly recognized Interior Designer in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. The work consisted of decorating and staging homes for clients--some being high profile---in Orange County. Prior to design school, I attended the University of Virginia's School of Radiography program and upon graduating and passing boards, became an x-ray technologist, and later specialized in mammography. It is my nature to want to help others, so the medical field seemed perfect. Once I became a mommy, my focus shifted. I was a stay at home mom for years, and then decided to switch gears. Still wanting to help others, but have the more creative side of me expressed, I changed careers.
